This Happened To Me, You Need Deactivate UpNp From Your Router or Reset Your Router Everytime You Goin Play Cod4!

Try restarting your internet. If that doesn't fix the problem, try this:

Game > Game Data Utility > Scroll to COD4 multiplayer > Triangle > Delete

Now, start up Call of Duty 4 and download a new patch.
