(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The only way UFO works for me, is if I go to the options menu, then get out back to the game.. Is that the way it's supposed to work? And also, I cant activate the other things.

Yeah, that's how it's supposed to work, but what do you mean by "can't activate the other things"?

I cant use the God mode, and the other hacks.
And why cant I assign the UFO to the down button or something? Or the SELECT button?

Well, I assume you haven't bypassed so there is no way to get god mode or "the other hacks". I know that the most commonly posted UFO script has the line set gpad_dpad_down "god", but this doesn't work and was probably only a test by the developer. And you can't assign UFO to a button because that requires a bind command which was also patched out by the 1.3 update.

But why can it activate when going to the option menu? How is it different than using another excisting command like select to get the player menu or dpad_up to get the nvg? Where is it decided that ufo activates when pressing options? I just want to understand it better. thanks.

i tried changing this first line to:

set gpad_dpad_left "createfx" ,

since i thought that wat initiate the ufo mode. obviously not tho. where is it decided that th e option menu is starting 'createfx' ? plzz throw me a bone her.

this is my file so far, just tell me is in this file the right place to do what i want?

set gpad_buttonsConfig "createfx"
set gpad_button_lstick_deflect_max "1"
set gpad_button_rstick_deflect_max "1"
set gpad_button_lshldr_deflect_max "1"
set gpad_button_rshldr_deflect_max "1"
set gpad_dpad_down "god"

set r_gamma "1"
set snd_volume "0.8"
set input_invertPitch "0"
set input_viewSensitivity "4"
set input_autoAim "1"
set gpad_sticksConfig "default_mp"

Like I said, to set "createfx" to a button would require a bind command, which isn't possible on the 1.3 patch. I see your theory and have tested it in a similar way myself, but it won't work in that way I'm afraid.
