Post: Patch 1.30

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Now, that patch is what stopped the hacks from working so I think, the next step is to try and find a way of copying the patch to a PC and hacking into THAT!
I've tried to copy it the same way as you copy the game save but copy doesn't appear. There must be a program out there to "explore" your hard drive.
If there is then you could use that to import the patch from the PS3, straight to PC and we could work from there.
Please give me a shout if you find a solution to copy.
Sorry if this has been mentioned before.
Thanks.

I doubt you would find it on the net. You'd just find PC COD4 updates. It might work. Has anyone actually looked inside the patch before?

that would be a difficult task

MUST be possible though......I was thinking take your hard drive out of your PS3!? But then how would we connect the hard drive to the PC after that?

Don't you people read on these sites! The patch is an encrypted file so it can only be read by the playstation 3 that IF edited will only make the file useless, the ps3 will reject it as an incompatible file. Sure if you are stupid enough to try it out then delete the patch and capture packets when you are downloading the patch to the ps3. The download link will be in the HTTP packet. Simply copy this link to your web browser but you may have to edit the URL so you are downloading the file and not the request page and there it is. C'mon people don't act stupid, you're better than this. "edit a system file on your computer and see what happens" LOL. That is how stupid this is. Don't do any of this! Oh and using ps3 proxy to get your edited patch onto the ps3 again, doesn't work. This was patched by the firmware update 2.2, it closes the proxy connection and downloads from the main connection instead, so going from split to just one. All it will do is block the connection to the download itself and give you an error. You can even see it being said when you do this if you look in the right places.
