I'm fine with the whole futuristic approach they're taking,I just don't see the problem.

If you think COD is turning into BF by pooling some of the same elements but doing them different in terms of mechanics. You sir are a bit :derp:
Turning into BF would mean a complete new way of looking at the online and new mechanics to boot. That not likely to happen all COD has done is updated some of the elements within the game to go with the new setting.

Lets not forget that most modern shooters borrow some each other alot and use the same guns etc.
Most of the guns in COD was in CSS and even in some other games.

What i don't understand is how people judge a game for trying a new setting when people asked for it. Yet people judge the game and say oh should not done that!!!!
We had the same gameplay mechanics now for about 4 years time for a change along with setting no ?

BF has become more COD like to get more sales by dumbing down the game a bit.

I hope BO2 is not all talk when it comes to trying new things and we see new mechanics.

Definately not as treyarc have been working with military officials and implemented warfare that the militaries currently have prototypes of, all that they have done is take a new approach like call of duty 4 did.. they are redesigning the franchise in a way that speaks to everyone, whether it be single player, multiplayer or even zombies! I see where u are coming from with the whole star wars thing but the claw machines are roughly the same size as a human. This near future setting is actually a very good Idea because you will be getting a taster of technology that will be available to various militaries within the next 20 years. If you listen to all of the interviews that have been done with treyarc and read th official released info then you would know every fact released about this game and not waste everyone's time by having them explain it to you, I understand that you haven't asked anyone to explain it to you but by creating a thread like this one... It's going to happen as you clearly haven't checked what is actually being developed. No offence intended

Everyone's complaining about the game looking like this or like that, In all reality your going to buy the game regardless and who knows? you might enjoy it or hate it.
