In my own personal opinion, I feel as that Treyarch may use that for your first prestige showing that you have completed 15 Prestiges in Black Ops. Where, normally it would be the stars, and all that and such, they replace it with the 15th Prestige symbol. Alot of experts explained that's a placeholder. It's either a placeholder or an ode to people who made it to 15th in Black Ops. You can go through all first 55 levels with that emblem (if you notice he has rank 52 next to his name even though he has that emblem). Everyone knows Treyarch does very well, is they bury information frame by frame. The question is: What did they really mean by showing off Original Black Ops 15th prestige emblem in Black Ops 2? They are wanting you to start of black ops 2 from what prestige you are on black ops 1

Good theory... Definitely not a rank you have to start with in Bops1...
I also think its just something small that you can decide to show. Maybe even MW2, 3, W@W, COD4 emblems you have earned. You can choose what emblem you want to show along with your current Bops2 level?
