Last year, for MW3, i was able to not only be the first person in line, but i only had to come at 11:30pm too.

If you live in the U.S, you may have a toys r us near you. It is a kids store, but they sell video games there too. I went there around 11:30PM and was able to purchase mw3 within about 5 minutes after the doors opened. I also received a free elite shirt, poster, and cool collectors truck item. Now you wont be able to get the double xp or nuketown 2025, but if you're just interested in purchasing the game when it comes out, than i suggest you go to Toys R Us. Its way faster and easier than waiting in a 3 hour line at gamestop, especially for hardcore gamers looking for a high ranking on the leaderboards.

This was just what i experienced, so if you have a local Toys R Us around you, i definitely suggest going there.
