Contrary to popular belief you don't have to choose to be objective or a killwhore. Being objective or killwhoring by itself doesn't get you wins...

Ground War is VERY SIMPLE if you have a strategy and know what you're doing. I will tell you the right and wrongs of Ground War UNLESS you have full party and the players are good at rushing.

Rights of Domination and Kill Confirmed:

1.Make sure half of your team goes to the B flag at the start of the match.
2.Make sure you guys are all looking different directions to cover the different directions enemies come from.
3. Use smoke and pay attention to areas where the enemy likes to camp over B flag. You have to get them out of that overhead camp spot to increase your likelihood of capping the B flag.
4.MAINTAIN THE TWO FLAGS YOU HAVE. That is all you have to do. Simple right?
5. On smaller maps or if you have a full party of good players then you can triple cap especially if the enemy sucks.
6. Trying to obtain a 25+ tag lead in KC and then slowing down on tags was the most effective way in MW3, however in BO2 obviously grabbing tags helps a lot more.

Wrongs of Domination and Kill Confirmed

1.Don't grab third flag unless necessary(losing 110-150) or without notifying teammates. This is because this increases the likelihood of enemies spawning behind you. However, if you have good teammates this is fine.

2.Sitting in the back of the map doing nothing. Unless you're sniping the enemy off of the B flag or something please be aggressive.

3.Rush with a purpose. Don't just run around pressing buttons giving the enemy killstreaks. If an enemy is camping very hard and kills you more than once, maybe swallow your pride and tell your teammates where that bastard is hiding. Complaining about camping doesn't do much, communication and team work does.

Easy right? I like to win and get kills. Seems like some like to say"objective" and almost resent people who get a lot of kills for some reason. Killwhores don't lose games for you. BAD PLAYERS DO. Why blame the guy 30-5 instead of the guy 10-30? Play in a party and do what you have to do to win the game. If you have to go negative every now and then to win then do it. Secure the win then become a killwhore to maintain. You can be as objective as you wanna be but playing solo is not the way to go. Get in a party ASAP. You'll win more games and get more kills.
