That way I know they are skillful enough to get kills but selfless enough to help me grab NECESSARY objectives. I don't like playing solo. Solo might allow you to get more kills but you can still lose. I like accountability. Meaning sure they'll complain about a camper but are smart enough to maybe flank or put down the sniper rifle to stop them. Having people who will help me with objectives by grabbing them or at least providing cover while get it.

Well the party system at least on PS3 is horrendous. There is no option to cancel what you're doing. So if you back out to invite more people or play different mode there is that asinine "reconnecting to party" message even if everyone left said party. Sometimes people can't connect to your party randomly or it'll leave one person in the lobby while the rest get forced out. Or PS3s will freeze or it will randomly give some option to update game settings while others no.

I can't enjoy COD games solo anymore really. Some like playing solo because they work weird hours, like to just play, forever alone or the underrated amount of people who like to be the big fish in a small pond.

I honestly question if my internet just isn't good enough(15mb) and/or having even one mediocre connection in the lobby fucks over everyone. I like to have fun, joke with people on my team and consider myself a win orientated killwhore. Black Ops 2 is a SMG and shotgun orientated game which is fine. Problem is when it's laggy as hell it makes GOOD rushing difficult because you can be 0.33 seconds behind the enemy. Then if you play slower to counter the lag UAV is always up.

It's worse when playing KC because enemies like to walk against each others ass to bait them into dying. Meaning you see a nice triple kill yet lag against multiple enemies is near impossible to combat most times because it's so laggy.

No one hated Support killstreaks in MW3 more than me and sure BO2 is a less noob friendly game in comparison but I hope they can fix party system and connection to at least MW3 standards. Again maybe I just need better internet. Yes I have search set to BEST and use wired internet and no porn downloads...While playing

Yeah, I feel the same way man. A tip ( if you didn't know ) if you have 4 or more people in your party it will not join into a started match normally. I've heard this from a few players and it seems to be true most of the time I pay attention to it. Add me on PSN if you have room. I love to have all the objective players I can get. People that don't help win the game piss me off ( I can understand if we have a huge lead, but the ones that just sit back for kills while the team is losing really get to me ) just go play TD!

Agreed my friend. I'm running 50mb/s yet lag as fuck. I'm unable to play with my party mates as they live in a different region, playin with them results in freezes and terrible lag (which wasn't the case in mw3, no problem there). Not to forget the annoying 'waiting to reconnect party', the damm thing takes forever. The lag and party system are by far the worst compared to the other cods.

I normally have 5 or more on lobby problem is when I try to disband the party it will force me into a game lobby anyway. A few times it through us into a lobby without anyone trying to do so.

I might be done for a little while with BO2. I almost broke a controller today and I've NEVER done that. Like I said I have friends who say they rarely ever face lag so maybe my connection sucks. Unlike most COD players I blame myself when I can't get the job done instead of others so maybe my connection just sucks or someone is stealing my internet.

There are people getting 100+ kill games, piling up wins, etc. This game isn't really tough but until I get better connection or a patch helps I might have to wait til Christmas to play. I even fired up MW3 and got a few Osprey Gunners but then EMPs and hacks reminded me that MW3 was fun but annoying. FML

Thanks man. Good to know I'm not the only one. I enjoy the game otherwise. I just refuse to play alone with incompetent players. I don't care about rushers, campers,"op" guns Ghost or UAV because lets face it good players succeed regardless of what the enemy does. In a perfect world the entitle enemy would use pistols, no Ghost and run in the open screaming "here I am kill me" but obviously that's not how online gaming works. I can accept that and adjust but this party situation and lag is too much. If you find workarounds please share.

So far today I had some good rounds , also had some quite laggy WTF lobbies.
The good rounds was against local players the non good rounds was against non local players. See the pattern ? The mathmaking appears to have been updated which has improved how the game runs.
In many respects it running like MW2 did for me which is amazing.
Only thing missing is host advantage which we now have a strange the whole lobby gets it apart from host sometimes.



Who was hosting the party it searchs for a game off that user.
So say the guy searching lives across the border won't be a pretty game.
Playing with peopel who live near you is the best way to make sure the whole party does not suffer.

PS3 got screwed over badly this year.

Played with US hosts and not a pretty sight my end just playable. If you call 200 ping that :p

I'm not really too sure if it's your connection. It might be the people in your party. I think that in order to get into ideal lobbies with a good connection, you need to be playing with people from the same region. This is just from my experience. If it is your connection, then just let a friend take over as host and you should be getting a better experience.

I've learned to cope with some of the difficulties with the party system:

If you get split up from your party by that weird transformer noise, then just back immediately with party and everyone should still be together.

make sure the host has an open NAT so when everyone ragequits, you know people will still be able to join the lobby fairly quickly.

other than these simple tips everything else is dealt with your your rage-meter.

I don't know if the cool thing is to just say every guy who gets a lot of kills doesn't care about objectives as a way to discredit them or not. You know kind of how every guy that rushes and does well is a "tryhard virgin fag".

But every solo lobby I've come across puts me with Onlyusemeblade, Grizz wannabes or people trying to use Assault Shields all game... NOT EVEN AROUND THE OBJECTIVE. As if an Assault shield, pistol or quick scoping is going to fair well against a shotgun, SMG or even AR.

I'd much rather play with a killwhore than these guys who come into Ground War to do secondary challenges. It's okay if your team is winning but wtf.

If you enjoy these things fine I suppose. Just saying if people getting 50+ kills get blame then these people trying to show off Gold crossbows need blame too. Borderlands 2 here I come

The buddy system in this game is crazy. Don't know how many times I kill someone and just for the damn guy to come around the corner after his team mate died. But I also blame them cluster fuck ass maps. To damn small.

As for your net IDK. I got like 24 mb and I lag like crazy. Most of the time my bullets don't regiester for nothing. Kill cam are fake.

Also this game does not award rushers for nothing. There is times I do good rushing but the amount of people that sit back or run in groups of 2 or even 3 at times. I swear there is plenty of times I run up on 3 guys capping a flag. I am aiming down sight busting at em just to die by someone reacting and spraying. funny how you can aim down sight but people spray and kill you faster.

The lag seems even worse the past two days. As Stunna said the game really rewards bad rushers as it stands. You play kill confirmed and kill 3 guys and there is usually another gun close behind ready to kill you. This is only an issue when playing solo because obvious if four guys are running together either they are dying a lot or your teammates aren't killing them enough.

I think the people use to going 15-15 or negative every game only managing UAVs are used to getting owned. Or the solo guys used to playing with worthless green guys but this game is bs. The maps aren't that great but I could still enjoy this game if this connection shit is fixed. People still suck, good players can still be good like any COD game but the party system needs to be tweaked. Even worse when I play solo it will just dump me into a losing game full of guys going negative against a clan. I really want to enjoy this game but this connection shit is too much. Shouldn't have to change shit with your internet, reformat HDD, play solo or switch consoles to enjoy one game.
