(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Game has been out a month now and I figured I'd(we'd) share best streak setups. I will first rank what I believe to be the top 5 streaks in the game. Factors I chose were how easy they are to obtained, kills they earn mixed with their effectiveness. Obviously depending on if you play S&Awesome face, HC or FFA some of these won't relate. I will also post best setups for different skill levels and/or situations.

TOP FIVE BLACK OPS 2 STREAKS
[/U]

1. Orbital VSAT.(1200) level 42 Easy mode once you get this. It helps everyone on the team, they help make the streaks in the 1200+ score range easier and once you get one you have an easy chance to get another and/or help teammates keep a rotation of them.

2. Lodestar. (1500) lvl 12 If you face a team with launchers you'll get minimum of 7 kills with this. More times than not you will get at least 15+ kills unless you're on a map like Plaza with a little more cover. Absolute BEAST streak.

3. UAV.(425) level 7. Easy to obtain, and if you use it smartly it gives you an idea of where enemies are spawning. Once Xmas noobs come this killstreak will be damn near as good as VSAT since they won't have Ghost or even CUAV for awhile.

4. Lightning Strike.(750) level 7. Very easy to obtain. Whether you use it as your 1st, 2nd or 3rd streak it does a good job. The patch slightly nerfed it but you'll get triples usually from this. It also briefly shows you where enemies are so it can be a mini UAV if you know maps well and can clear objectives.

5. Stealth Chopper.(1100) level 21. It's one of the streaks that are easy to take out but the enemy doesn't feel the urgency to take it down like say a Lodestar or Warship. They just brush it off and next thing you know it's getting 5+ kills rather quickly. Good streak in that 2nd or 3rd slot as well.

I will now mention the best streaks for given playstyle or situation. Best low streak setup would be UAV, Hellstorm and Lightning. You could also do Hellstrom, Lightning, Stealth Chopper.

The AGR aka Wall-E Jr. in manual mode especially is BEAST. It's perfect for clearing objectives so your teammates can grab them and can net you 7+ kills. Warthog is decent but hit or miss. It's basically like a Rolling Thunder from BO1 but lasts longer. On open maps you'll get 8+ kills with it easily. Update:takes only two emp nades or ONE C4 to take this out. I wouldn't use this besides in auto mode around objectives.

Best setup for moving around and not having to stop ESPECIALLY IN KILL CONFIRM: Stealth Chopper(or Orbital VSAT)Escort Drone and Warthog. Escort Drone is BEAST as well. Escort Drone is also perfect to use after VSAT because you'll typically earn both at the same time. So in KC whatever enemies you don't kill while rushing your Escort Drone will. Warthog is honestly not worth the amount of points because when it's bad it is BAD but when it's good it is pretty decent. This is the best Kill Confirmed setup. Because you'll be creating tags all over the map(for teammates to steal)
Best setup for monster kills would be VSAT(see it's importance), Lodestar or VTOL Warship and Swarm or Dogs. VTOL Warship isn't as good as Lodestar only because how easy it is to shoot down. However you unlock it very early and if you learn when to make the pilot switch positions you can get 12+ kills quickly. I like Warship more only because it reminds me of Chopper Gunner or MW3's Osprey Gunner but still not as good as Lodestar. Swarm is good for open maps, K9 unit on this game isn't as good as BO1 but still good especially if you rush in buildings while enemies try and hide.

Best Rage Quit Inducing Setup aka Porter's Revenge  would be VSAT, EMP and then whatever you want. This has been on Youtube and is a great setup. I call it Porter's Revenge because you can EMP all those noobs that used Support on MW3. They rage quit because you can see them but their HUD and any of their streaks are gone. If you use Hardline you could literally just lay back and let your teammates kill and within about 40 seconds all the EMP/VSAT assists will get you your next streak. So basically with this setup VSAT+ EMP gives you 80% chance at higher streaks like Lodestar, Warship, Swarm, Dogs even IF you don't get more kills.

I didn't mention Hunter Killer Drone, or Guardian because well....But they are good for FFA or if you are trying to get gold camos or something I guess. Sentry Gun is actually pretty good as well but it's nothing too special. Death Machine and that auto noobtube thing isn't really worth it honestly. Care Package with Engineer is also useful if you're just starting out or sniping or testing out weapons. Dragon Fire has poor hit detection but I enjoyed using it and it's actually good at wiping out people camping in a room.

I like your Porter's Revenge class. I'm probably going to run that all night tonight. Nothing cheers me up more than hearing noobs rage into their mics on a game.

stealth choppers and escort drones have been utterly useless for me lately :|
i recall one game i called in 6 stealth choppers and like 5 escort drones and they got 6 kills total :|
swear some people all they do is have a launcher out waiting for uavs and stuff to shoot

I enjoy using UAV, CUAV, and Lightning strike. Amazing setup. The UAV's and CUAV's will spam points for your streak, and you can go on an almost endless loop.

People don't shoot things down as much as previous COD games but I agree with your sentiment. I always rolled my eyes when a guy that is like 6-25 shoots down your streak.

Sentry guns, AGR, Guardian are also good killstreaks.

Since I have trouble with lag and seems like I can't kill people all of a sudden I run low scorestreaks. Lighting Strike, sentry gun and Chopper.

If things are going my way I run Lighting Strike, Chopper, Warth Hog or Loadstar. I love the Warth Hog on Stand off, HiJacked, Slums. It does work.

Former Blue Mod
If I were to rank the killstreaks, this would be my order:

1) Orbital VSAT
2) Swarm
3) Lodestar
4) AGR
5) Stealth Chopper/UAV

Now my set-up that I used to use was this:

- AGR, Stealth Chopper, VSAT. This was a very good combo for me, because the AGR would usually get you your Chopper, which would get you your VSAT. All 3 streaks are very close in term of points, only a kill or less apart (if you use hardline). It also provides dominance of both air and ground. If you can manage to get 2 AGR's, whilst having a chopper and a VSAT out, you will absolutely BEAST it, trust me, I speak from much experience. I'd call this set-up Dominance Happy

After prestiging a few times, and permanently unlocking the Swarm, VSAT and K9 unit, my new set-up was born ;p

- VSAT, K9, Swarm. This is an extremely good set-up for kills and to help play the objective. Whilst they may be very high, if you manage to get them, you won't be disappointed. It's down to you as a player, I can get these with ease, but that's just me, others of you may struggle :( But, the VSAT will help you get your dogs with ease, so if you get them and call them out, it will get you your Swarm. I really love this set-up because you don't have to stop to use a streak, you can still run around, alongside your Swarm and K9 and wreak havoc! What's also really good about this set-up is that it's a game changer. The other team either hide or get get killed so quickly they can't defend/play the objective, making it very easy for your team to do just that. I can't tell you how many time that my clan and I have been in close games, or ones that we may lose and I use this streak set-up and we push the other team right back and win the game :p Most of the time they just leave anyway Happy

2 words of advice when running this set-up though:

- Be careful of your Swarm, it can kill you if you get too close to an enemy and if it goes after them at the same time, you're pretty much dead. This can extremely frustrating, because it is very easy to loop over with this set-up and getting killed by your own Swarm is fucking shitty :(

- I've found that the Swarm often dwarfs the K9 unit, so it's best to call them out separate sometimes. Because the K9 has to run around for it's kills and they are easily killed, they do not get as much kills as they should because the Swarm just rains death from above. So if you wish to maximise your streaks, call them out separate, but never together. (Unless it's ground war or something, but I never play that)

Finally, my latest set-up and the one I currently use:

VSAT, Lodestar and Swarm: I've switched out the K9 purely because it's score requirement, does it no justice. In my eyes, the Lodestar is wayyy better for it's score value, so I choose to use that instead. Also, Lodestar gets you many kills, depending on the other team. Even if the other team are a bunch of Blind-eye noobs, you still manage at least 5-7 kills with it, which gets you close to your Swarm. It works in great combination with the VSAT, because you get +15 per Lodestar kill and +10 for VSAT assist. Everytime you get a kill, you get +25 because you get VSAT assist from yourself as well. Essentially, you're getting +100 points for 4 kills, as long as the VSAT remains out, not to mention any points from your teammates killing any enemies as well Smile I have to say, this is my favourite set-up so far. You can also choose to manually exit the Lodestar by holding X if you feel it's not doing good enough, which is always good if you want to Run&Gun instead Winky Winky
