Here's an example where people depict qs'rs as being terrible, I get it there are some bad ones out their, but its funny how u never notice someone qs'ing and going positive...Its just the few kids that are terrible that give it a bad vibe.
I have a over a thousand kills each on both the dsr and ballista, and the kd on both guns are positive, Now im not no 2 kd but im rarely neg. And im fine w that.....I just notice how the sub machine gun rush fags, will cry everytime they die wen i kill them qs'ing and i lmao....and theyll scream lucky everytime lol. Yes. If you get quickscoped he outplayed you so dont complain but if he misses it's an easy kill. I also hate the people that complain about quick scopers and then complain about the sniper sitting in the back of the map sniping

Erm because the amount of aim assist in this game means that they only have to be kinda facing you and kinda scope in and press l2 r2. No skill in it in bo2, not to mention the automatic snipers which may as well be an insane range shotgun.

I'm a quick scope myself and I rarely find my self going negative (probably because I usually qs when I play search n destroy) and I dont understand why they rage and be like “you can't qs in real life" obviously it's a game Sherlock.

Quick scopers are annoying by definition. Quick Scoping itself is fine. Like ResistTheSun said, 'quick scoping is a tool, NOT A PLAYSTYLE'.

Short answer is as a community we generally complain about everything.

Long answer: Also sure there will be people decent at quick scoping, but I'd say easily 70% of the people who go into a Domination or Kill Confirmed gamemode with the sole intention of running around quick scoping will go negative or barely positive. No matter how much "skill" you have at quick scoping, there are too many factors against you. You can't generally take on multiple enemies and people will pass up an easy "hardscope" in an attempt to get style points. Then you have tryhards like myself running around with SMGs, or you have shotgun guys or guys camping that you're unable to take out. If I see a camper, I can flank with SMG, what can a quick scoper do in that scenario?

Obviously a good player could kick ass using a silenced Executioner pistol but you can't pretend that you're not at a HUGE disadvantage doing so.

Snipers in team based games ARE VERY BENEFICIAL. The problem is the community has the idea that the 2-3 successful quick scopes somehow counterbalance the 9-10 misses when it doesn't. The rare occasions I snipe. I will snipe an enemy off the B flag while my teammates grab it. Then push up and get to choke points and "medium" scope aka not sit there scoped in all day but not trying to scope in and out within 1/2 a second either. Most snipers literally either sit in a low traffic area or they run in the open of the map trying to quick scope. Quick scopers are the annoyance but honestly to me they are nothing more than like the Ballistic Knife Onlyusemeblade wannabes or the guys running around with Tac 45s going negative.

I think quickscoping is a play-style. If you are running around being aggressive with a sniper, what else would you call it?

The point was quick scoping SHOULDN'T be a playstyle since it's pretty inefficient. As a sniper being able to quick scope, "drag scope", "hard scope", etc should ALL be implemented. Why someone would try to quick scope on a rusher friendly game dominated by SMGs, a few Assault Rifles and Shotguns is beyond me. Why not cover your teammates from range while they rush in and cap flags and objectives? That's like a SMG user trying to head glitch down hallways. Use the class in it's most beneficial way. If you have to quick scope then fine, but why gimp yourself?

If you enjoy quick scoping, then that is okay, just don't pretend it's even remotely a reliable way to play the game. I use SMGs, I don't pretend that using SMGs is a challenge because it's not but rushing with an SMG on Black Ops 2 is the most reliable way to play I've found.

I actually do better than most running around with a sniper, it's only not effective if you are not great or average. I agree that a good sniper knows when to Quick scope, hardscope. I haven't used any other guns very much in black ops 2 because i think using smgs, ar isn't a challenge and would bore me very quick and I honestly haven't been in many games where people try harding have done better than me or my party who snipe. If you are a good sniper most times you can beat a reg gun. You are more than likely referring to crappy snipers who would rather snipe and do bad not mater what.

ineffective or no,t whether ur bad or good at it...its ur stats and my stats, some care some dont....no one is getting payed to play unless ura youtube whore...its a videogame. And i agree there will be boohoo'ing no matter how anybody plays no matter what. Effective mattered to me wen the game wasnt camper based, i play for fun now. Not getting all mad running in circles w an smg that basically shoots itself off the hip.
