The game has lag spikes and can be a bitch to play. I do however believe people are taking a legit annoyance and over exaggerating how prevalent/bothersome it really is(like camping). This is a great video and at least shows how this causes Matrix bullets lol.

Not everyone has a connection as great as they'd like to believe not to mention if they don't live alone and have multiple people using the same internet. I've been in lobbies where people are playing off their phone's internet. I also think the knife is nerfed mostly as a way to appease years and years of us complaining about how "overpowered" the knife was and also to make the ballistic knife more useful as an option. The lower streaks are annoying but the lack of Support streaks has been it so guys aren't getting multi kills and EMPing high streaks a third of the game. It's also the reason people ragequit more. As a bad player you have no way to really stop the high streaks and you can't get multi kills and free kills like you could with the Support Package in MW2.

One thing I wonder is if someone in your party is laggy or trying to play off their phones how much does that affect everyone else. Prestige options in MW3 were pretty good although I used like 7 tokens on permanent unlocks. You definitely don't want to force people to prestige and the more you punish people the more hacks and glitchers you'll have. Having to choose between unlocking weapons, equipment, lethals, tacticals AND score streaks makes it so you do have to give up SOMETHING. Things like diamond camo give extra incentive to play although again account duplication takes the grind out of that for people too.

I also think a lot of the things they do are in the idea of being "fair" which players only care about if it really affects them ie wanting perks and gun balance yet not wanting a guy with shitty internet to get a fair shake vs their great internet. They seemed to have nerfed footsteps to benefit novice players that wouldn't use a headset or would rather blast music then focus on soundwhoring. MW2 did audio the best. I will also had that I enjoyed Black Ops' Chopper Gunner and it wasn't useless considering as great as Gunship could have been the control bugs it had made it less usefull than Gunner especially considering you could just use Chopper Gunner and Dogs together to get 12 kills minimum while used in tandem.

I agree we do have to stop living in the past, it is time to let go. The people that say BO2 is good or even better than the old ones, obviously didn't play them.

This video should be taken with a grain of salt , a lot of things we don't know about that happens behind the curtain.
One of the key things which has changed is the matchmaking , lag comp code and other lag measure codes have no changed at all. Hackers for example have been able to find the host switch code , still requires the same amount of ping, from X % of clients as MW2 did to force a switch.
For that reason I take this video with a massive grain of salt.



It still the same forumla with some pretty minor differences , the problem is it pretty easy to spot the faults within said forumla if you play enough.
Not sure if you meant too but you reinforced the idea you are living in the past by not explaining how it was better.
