I mean do they live on the west coast you live on the east coast, the reason I ask is that could be part of the reason why. Along with the time of day you play.
Only time I get a 2 bar is when playing with americans on a wireless connection.

Yeah I usually play with at least 3 others and there are certain friends who lag either because of where they live or they're playing off their damn mobile connection lol.
