All they are just backgrounds and the gold clan tag.

Very disappointing. When they put elite in mw3 the in-game rewards were awesome cause people could actually recognize your in a clan. (clan lvl/clan name/moto). You could also get double xp and prerstige tokens. But now in black ops you only get a clan tag. The integration in the game is very low. Thats very stuipid.

Black Ops 2 and Elite are not working together because Black Ops 2 has the League they want everyone to play. BLACK Ops 2 is an absolutely a disappointment.

Calling cards were an unlock, but they removed them for some reason :/
I've heard they may come back, but there is a chance they won't.

I'd say wait a few months before you draw conclusions. Some rewards such as the above-mentioned may return, others may make an appearance as well. As they stand right now, however, Clan rewards are disappointing.
