(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); How can you report offensive language when the game uses offensive language?? You make a game with the content you dont want people to use?? How does that make sense?? 17+mature. I dont think so... In the U. S. A. its freedom of speech but treyarch can punish me for how i talk amongst my friends in my house on my game in acountry of free speech because a 10yr old kid is offended and reports me. Can someone explain this?!?:impatient:

I'm not sure how the system works... But, I think typical swear words should be fine... It should focus more on racial slurs and other derogatory behavior (bullying).

Reporting people for swearing is very pathetic.

Like what my college professor said during an Freedom argument, there are always loopholes "Freedom of speech"

For Ex: I'm going to kill The President of the United States. You can get arrested if you say that even though it's your freedom of speech.

You have freedom of speech of the game, but they are treyarchs/activisions servers so it's their rules. Just like on here if you insulted someone in the shoutbox and got banned for a while, you still have freedom of speech, but again their servers, their rules.

It is ironic, but what I don't understand is how the ESRB cannot rate the online portion of the game solely on the fact that it isn't predictable. Which tells me that one, reporting someone for offensive language should not exist, and two if you report someone for offensive language you are most likely trolling. Now I can understand reporting someone for being racist, but who actually does? I’ve had racial slurs and other hate speech throw at myself, and of course my friends. We just brush it off because it’s almost something to expect on Call of Duty now. People get frustrated then they start blaming it on certain races and ethnic groups.

That pretty much explains it. And I can agree with it, but I just think the feature is dumb and appears to be useless. I've yet to hear or see someone get banned for offensive language. But I have seen people get banned for offensive emblems, myself included lol.

Yeah I don't agree with the report function fullstop tbh, mostly it is used by people for no reason. But I don't think they are going to ban you for language. It is probably there to appease the few people who would actually use it seriously.

In my view i think there shouldn't be an "Offensive Language" button. The game is meant for for 18+. In my family once i turn 18 i can swear, just not at my parents. If the 10 year olds don't like the language why can't they just mute the person? They should take the button out and put in a "Racist" button. Every match i join it's always some hick raging because he got killed by a African american.
