This tutorial isn't the same as other's as it doesn't use the port forwarding capabilities of your router, instead it uses UPnP.

does this mean its open forever or you have to do this everytime?

For all you XBOX people, including myself, just go into Network Settings and reset your network settings completely. Then just connect to your internet via wired or wireless and it should be open. Thats what I did and it switched to Open. If it doesnt work for you, then I dont know, lol.
