Microsoft announced today at their E3 press conference that Activison has signed an exlclusivity deal with the company to put any and all Call of Duty content created post Black Ops' release until 2012 on the Xbox first. This news is not that shocking to anyone who has noticed the trend of the past few years for map packs and such to appear as downloadable content on the Xbox 360 first.

Beginning with this year's Call of Duty: Black Ops, pretty much every PlayStation 3 owner who enjoys the franchise will have to wait to enjoy all the extra content their Microsoft bretheren get months in advance. Though there's no official time table of how long these items will be exclusive, it's still a shame that DLC rights have gotten to the point where not every player will be able to enjoy them at the same time.

Looks like microsoft flashed all their money and activision couldn't resist...
