(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was thinking of buying a capture card, however after seeing the new theatre mode in BO it made me think is it worth it? Will this mean you can save clips and transfer them to a laptop in HD or just save them to your ps3 then record the saved clip with a capture card?
I am not familiar with Halo so could somebody explain it to me in a bit more detail.

I was thinking about buying a capture card too, but after seeing this I probably won't have to Happy. The best thing you could do is just wait until Black Ops comes out and see how it is. I think that is the most obvious answer. I think that there will have to be a way to transfer it to your computer, I don't think Treyarch would add that feature and leave that part out. If it comes down to it, the videos must save on your console's harddrive right? Winky Winky

In Halo you could go to Theater and you would find the last 25 matches you played, whether public or private (I hope Treyarch has it record private matches too actually...). From there you could watch it and start recording a small clip at any time, like if you got a double headshot with the sniper you can take that section out and make it on short clip. You could also pause and take a screenshot. On Halo you could put these videos/clips on your file share which anyone could see by clicking on your name. You could also access your file share on the Bungie site and like upload stuff on their site, I don't know much about that I never got into that. The only thing about Halo theater was it took a really long time to load videos and it forced the person with the best connection to be host, so sometimes that didn't allow to just show your friends clips. =/

On the IGN breakdown of the multiplayer teaser trailer they pointed out that in the background when it was showing the theatre mode, that there was an option 'upload'.

There's been no confirmation on what it uploads to though.

I think many people have jumped to conclusions with theatre mode. I've seen many comments on youtube talking about how people aren't getting a capture card because of this, but the truth is no one actually knows what or where it uploads the clips to. It could just upload them to a file share ingame. Bungie are rich enough to have the servers on the website to host the clips there too (But you do have to have Bungie pro) so if Black Ops do this then possibly they will charge people to upload the clips to their website. I just don't think Activision will do that, All I'm saying is people don't get your hopes high because it could just be a simple upload to share with friends. I've got a HD PVR which I hope will still come in handy Winky Winky

Where would you get time to use theatre mode, between games is like 50/60 seconds, so where would you get to use it?
