try not to be mistaken, this isn't the M40a3 nor M40a1. just the M40, not saying its any different but its the first version of this rifle so it might be different.

Even it was the M40A3, it highly doubt it would be like the CoD4 M40.

I think they will have the M40. It fits the time period perfectly, and it would be the preferred choice over the R700. I bet Treyarch knows how we all loved the gun so, so much.

It's in Black Ops still trust me. If you look closely, it also doesn't say G11 because it's Classified in the first video. Classified probably meaning you have to purchase every other weapon in that category (i.e. Purchase all assault rifles excluding the Classified one and you will unlock that Classified) In this case, you will purchase the L96, Drag, and WA2k to unlock the M40. It is confirmed then

@Richie209 I know it's not exact M40A3 from CoD4, it still runs in the family. If you do a research on the "M40" you will find that they are indeed, in the same family. Actually, I will post a link to the M40 description on the OP.
