I doubt you will have to beat the campaign because treyarch eventually released an update to w@w that unlocked zombies regardless if you had beaten the campaign or not. So they are probably going to keep it this way for black ops.

They're not going to force you to play the campaign mode, just to unlock a separate downloadable game which you buy from the PlayStation Store / XBOX Live Marketplace.

There is zombies. Hardened and Prestige edition get the old cod 5 maps back for it. so... there is zombies.

I doubt it. Zombies was originally just a surprise bonus at the end of the game and wasn't even expected to be popular. As soon as they saw the popularity they unlocked it for everyone and released maps. Seeing as the Co-Op and Campaign are going to be seperate modes, I'd say i highly doubt you would need to beat the campaign to play zombies.
