• Forced Update to 3.42 or later (Like MoH)
  

This could be fixed editing the PARAM.SFO or making a custom firmware which would trick the game to think that you're on an updated version.

• Requiring points or time to unlock things
  

As Treyarch has stated you'll require some X amount on time to unlock challenges or rank up to 50 (Max level on Black Ops), also it seems that emblems and titles will be bought using CoD Points. (I don't know anything about this)

That's why I stated, What if you need to be on 3.50 to play Black Ops, you couldn't do modded lobbies.

ive read a few posts that the PSJB is gettin updated on the 20th Oct to run on 3.42 and 3.50 not sure if its true
