I believe you can edit the default DVAR values with IDA, atleast it looked like you could when I unfself'd the debug SELF and opened it in IDA.

yes but thats pointless. The people who REALLY want to
mod the game are the ones who want the private key to
encrypt there own scripts other than dVar values!
