Highly illegal, won't happen, you'll only get it early if you work at a place like Gamestop, Bestbuy, possibly Walmart or Target. (I know this from experience)

"Mom & Pop" stores (Stores that are not name-brand/famous) in urban areas like NY, NJ, etc. always sell before release date.
I got MW2 several days early. Just shy of a week. $60, PS3 version. And yes I played online no problem.
Same for W@W. My friends were in the top 10 for quite some time.
