If you have the UK version of Black Ops and you live in Germany
you can't play online because the servers are not compatible with the game .
So if you live in one country, but you have a game from another country you can't play online because the servers are not compatible.

This isn't true!! I am german and i will get my uk version tomorrow and we will see, but i am 90% sure that i can play with my uk version online on ps3!!
PC users have to buy the german version!
