do you think black ops would of been better if infinity ward would of made it?

Treyarch listens to the community, which is why they received my vote. Infinity ward was ("was" because they basically don't exist any more) never a bad company, they just didin't do near as much to listen to the communities complaints. I mean seriously, there had been plenty of complaints about noobtubes after cod 4 and yet they made them easier to use and more powerful. Treyarch, on the other hand, has practically removed all the noobtubers and has partially fixed the massive issue with knifing after mw2 (I believe they plan to address the long knifing range in the next update, but not sure). If I were to only judge IW based on COD 4, they would have won by far, but MW2 (IMO) really sucked. Black Ops does have its faults, but I have confidence that Treyarch will support the game and continue to listen to the communities complaints. I am looking forward to see much more out of Treyarch in the future and am also hoping that any new companies that come along to work on COD (Slegehammer is one I can think of off the top of my head) will also work as hard as Treyarch does to support the game and listen to all of us complain . I also hope to see a lot out of Respawn Entertainment (Over half of the IW employees moved to this company with the ex-CEO's, in case you didn't know). Hopefully the COD series continues to grow and become better and better .

Cod4 started it off, but it wasn't intended to be a huge hit. It spread like wildfire. Ever since then the COD community has tried to recapture that. W@W was, in my opinion one of the best World War Multiplayers i've ever played (don't bash me for this because you all whine about the guns being shit, it takes more skill to use plus there's a huge amount of landscape and history and guns behind WW2 that made the game good).

Also don't take me for a Treyarch fan boy, i'm far from that. In fact I used to lick Robert Bowlings mangina until MW2 came out. That was the biggest dissapointment of 2009. On top of that, it was terribly unbalanced, the maps were shit, the map packs were also shit and there were hardly any patches.

From what I see, if they treat BO the way they treated W@W, it'll be a great game. From the announcement of the things being patched too, I can see Treyarch being a winner for the COD franchise in my eyes, although I feel COD will die after the next release from Sledgehammer games. I mean, a space marine. WTF? Changing it from COD to Halo, not a good move.

COD4 FTW - still the best by far so IW have majority vote - fast paced simplistic games beat slow laggy bundled games anyday of the week - B.O is good however they have tried to one up MW2 which was already over the top

Simplistic? They threw everything they could into it. BO is the simplistic balanced version of MW2. I don't know where you get this 'bundled' information from. The fact of the matter is all games have teething problems and there's no need to throw it away because it isn't perfect after the first week. MW2 was never even near perfect, nor were there any patches that I can think of in my 2 months of playing it. After that I gave it away and all my mates snapped their disks. I'm honestly in awe that anybody can actually admit to liking MW2. I mean, I understand if you played it because it was the newest COD and there was nothing else to play but really it was a very shit game.

Treyarch helps the community, but is kind of saying to them selves, "MMMHMMMM we made black ops we are beast!" For example, in combat training the Clan Tag is [3arc] standing for Treyarch, and this kinda gets annoying, and also the unlock all maps thing you have to enter 3arc unlock, and 3arc intel. I love both games so I can't decide it just seems that treyarch is getting waaaaaaaay to cocky!

Er.. dunno if i said it wrong or summin but i meant cod4 was great and simplistic? guns perks killstreaks maps and settings in general were origional to online fps shooters therfor more simple than coming up with newer ideas which end up lousy.. I too stopped playing mw2 after a few weeks then occasionally every so often with my mates just for a laugh i never played it because i enjoyed it however - i said it was bundled as they tried to add too much shit into the cod4 system which totally spoilt it

COD4 was good but if they made it too simplistic it'd just be another COD4. Or COD4 with map packs. People get bored quickly and that's why it needs something new, like the customisation. Plus the maps on BO are good. Be honest now, you would get bored if it was just another COD4?

It's not that simple, only either COD4 fanboys would buy it, people who fancy a bit of nostalgia and thousands upon thousands of people would complain about something, they always do. A good example is most of the complaints in this thread.

Meh that's my opinion - ide like a new upgraded cod4 over a wannabe cod4 anyday besides it lasted me 3 years and tbh im pretty sure quite a few others played Cod4 to pass the time after mw2 got shit More play time for your moneys (Y)

I don't think they're COD4 wannabes. You're saying that Black Ops is cluttered COD4, but it's a wannabe too? I don't think it's trying to be, OR beat COD4. It's tried to take on a game of it's own which it has done great. The rest is down to whether or not you like the improvements and a balanced game. Some people prefer a game where the guy with the biggest gun and smallest dick wins. Personally I prefer a game that takes skill, that's why I liked COD4, W@W and I like Black Ops. MW2 was a load of ballbags for many reasons which I can't be bothered to list.
