Call of Duty Black Ops Intel Locations Guide (plus Video)

Here you will find all the Intel Locations in Call of Duty: Black Ops. There are 42 total Intel to find, 3 in each level (with the exception of one mission). The easiest way to find them is to just play through it on Easy. Have fun and Happy Hunting!

OPERATION 40

Intel #1

After you melee kill your first enemy (slightly after you rappel), you’ll come to a garage with lots of crates and weapons in it. The Intel is behind the RPG, straight from the entrance.

You’ll be on the second floor of a burning building. Head into the right side top floor room and the Intel is on a table on the back left.

Immediately after you rappel down a hill, you'll end up in a hangar. The Intel is inside on the left up a ladder.

VORKUTA

Intel #1

After you hide behind the cart and push your way through enemy forces, you'll come to a point where Sergei tries to break into the armory. Head up the stairs (immediately before you have to slingshot the fireballs), stop by Reznov and grab the intel on the table to your right.

After you dive under Sergei to hit the door switch, head to your right and there will be a dark room with the intel on a desk.

Before getting on the bike turn around and the Intel is on a shelf behind Reznov.

EXECUTIVE ORDER

Intel #1

As you climb the comm tower taking them out floor by floor it’s on the right side of the 3rd floor before you use the ladder to the roof.

It's in the room that you blow open with C4. Just go to the back left and you'll see it.

Intel #3

You'll eventually come to an area as you are escaping with a giant red pipe (look at video). It's in the room to the right of this pipe, with the framed picture of the creepy dude. Just to the left as you enter, on top of one of the control areas.

In the same area where you have to blow up the 3 tanks, you'll see a long tent with a bunch of crates under it. The Intel is located towards the middle of this long tent, on a crate.

After destroying the 3 tanks, you'll drop down into a tunnel. You'll then have to head downhill, facing a sh** ton of enemies. Notice the bunker to the very left? Well, there's a bunker just down and to the right from this one. The Intel is in this bunker, at the opening farthest from the entrance.

In the building following the slow motion cut scene where you save Woods, there will be an American Flag. The Intel is located in the room just before this flag, on the right side.

THE DEFECTOR

As you leave the room with the Projector after getting the Defector, there is a small room on the right with the Intel.

As you are following the APC you will come to a right turn in the road. The Intel is in the building straight ahead of you before you turn.

Immediately after setting the C4 charge on the ceiling, head out the new opening and go to your right. It's in the building to the far right, on a table. I suggest doing this BEFORE the onslaught of douche bag enemies come at you.

NUMBERS

Intel #1

Beginning of the mission you will be told to go up a ladder to escape. Instead of going up this ladder, head to the right and the Intel will be behind a half wall on a desk.

Immediately after slow-motion sliding down the metal roof (where you have 5 or so enemies in front of you), the Intel can be found straight ahead of you behind the fenced area.

After you drop the dude off the ledge, you'll hop down a set of rooftops. The Intel is behind you at the lowest roof top, where the red light is. Just watch the video.

PROJECT NOVA

On the right after climbing the stairs in the very first building where you think Steiner is. This is after going down the hill at the start and after not allowing anyone to surrender.

This Intel is located in the white hangar, to the back right of it on a desk.

After you set the charge on the ship and destroy the support leading you to safety, a countdown will begin. The Intel is on the right, before you get to the front of the ship.

VICTOR CHARLIE

When you go into the huts with the hammocks (you slit the throat of the dude laying in one of them), look in the room to the left. You'll see the Intel there.

At the docks, when you are being screamed at to use the Rocket Launcher (not sure why he just doesn't do it himself), it's in a building to the far left and farthest back from the docks. Easiest way to find it is to face the weapon (don't pick it up), head left, then left under the walkway, and enter the building to your right.

Once you are in the rat tunnels, you'll encounter an enemy pop out at Swift, then eventually at Reznov. At this point, head left instead of straight to find the Intel on the ground to the right.

CRASH SITE

Immediately on starting the level the intel is to the left of the dock on some crates.

When you get off the boat it is in the small hill path up on the right.

When you get to the crashed plane and climb the wing you will then drop down to right beside the plane. Turn around and its on the ground.

In the second zoom in from overhead room where you need to blow the power, it’s right to the left down the stairs as you enter.

In the Comm Station that you rappel down to its in the back room by the stairs to the first floor. Enemies open this room to come out after you.

In the final warehouse that is covered in bombs. DON’T go into the main control room. Instead go to the center table with a bomb on it and its on the back.

PAYBACK

Intel #1

This one is found while chasing the Russian. You'll eventually come to a room where enemies are dropping in from a hole to the top right. The Intel can be found to the right of this room on some shelving.

When you get to the area with the HIND, don't go in it. Instead, go to the right and you'll see it near the tent on a table.

Intel #3

When you get to the end of the level (you'll know because the main baddy will be pounding on some glass above you), you can find the Intel on the left side of this room (towards the back) on some crates.

REBIRTH

Intel #1:

Immediately after killing the dude with the tomahawk, look to your left. You'll see it laying on the floor.

Intel #2:

When you get to the point in the level where the giant gas chamber is in front of you, you'll be near the Intel. Unfortunately for you, the Intel is in this gas chamber. If you shoot the enemy inside the chamber will close and kill you. Don't shoot him, just grab the Intel and get out quick. You can melee him without consequence, but there's really no point.

Intel #3:

After putting the gas mask on, you will go through one house. Kill the following enemies and your next objective will be straight in front of you, through another house. Before you get to this 2nd building, look to your right and go inside the building you will see. The intel is in here, to the right. Look on a cabinet with a bunch of pots and pans.

REVELATIONS
Intel #1:

You will break out of the chair and start stumbling around. Take a left at your first hallway, then another left and you'll see a vending machine down the hall. The Intel is on this.

After the long flashback where you are laying on the operating table, go into the hall and take a right rather than the objective left. Towards the back of this hallway you will find the Intel inside a garbage can (it's dark so just go until you see the notification to pick it up).

After the JFK flashback, you'll enter an office (this is also after the scene where the roof starts to tear off). The Intel can be found on the desk to the left side of the first office you enter.

REDEMPTION
Intel #1:

After crash landing your helicopter, you'll head to the right side of the ship. The Intel is found inside a shipping container along the wall of the ship. This is found BEFORE you take out the two helicopters.

Go inside the ship, and you can find the Intel in the room following the Locker Room. It's sort of hidden, but can be found under the table in front of the entrance to this room. It's on the other side of this table.

When you get to the room that is flooding like crazy, DO NOT GO TO THE CONTROLS WHERE THE OBJECTIVE IS TELLING YOU TO GO. The Intel is in the room before this, immediately after heading up the flight of stairs with the amber-yellowish colored light. If you trigger this fight with Dragovich you won't be able to get the Intel and will have to start from the very beginning of the level.
