First, type "N" into the Zork game.
Then Type "E" The description should say something about a window being ajar.
Next type "Open" you will have opened a window leading into the kitchen.
Then type "enter" you enter the kitchen.
Type "take"
Then type "bottle" after it asks you what you want to take.
Next I typed "open bottle" and it opened the bottle.
Typed "drink" I drank the water.
I then typed "walk"
Then "up"
I went upstairs and was told that I might get killed by a grue.
I typed "kill"
Kill what?
"Kill Grue"
Kill Grue with what?
"Bottle"
Then it says: I've known some strange people but fighting a lurking grue?
Then I wrote "walk"
Then "Up"
Then I died from the grue.

I retried it and instead of going upstairs do this:

Whilst in the kitchen, type "W" and take the sword and lantern in the living room.
Go back to the kitchen "E"
"Walk"
"up"
Take the knife and the rope from the attic and go back into the living room
In the living room, write "move rug" It will reveal a trap door.
"Open"
"Trap Door"
"Walk Down" Someone bars the trap door shut! Oh Noes!
"N" The Troll Room (lol'd when I saw this)
"Kill Troll"
"Sword" I think it takes a few hits
After a couple of hits he knocked my nasty knife away.
"Tie"
"Troll"
"Wall" It gives you 2 options, Granite Wall or Surrounding Wall I chose granite wall. But, type "Granite Wall" not "Granite" I tried "Granite" then "Surrounding Wall" then I tried "Granite Wall" and then I died.

I respawed in a forest and to the east there is sunlight.

I'm working my way from there.

But, Zork is a creepy game. I tell ya.

Hope this helps some people to get further than what I have so far anyways.
