This just happened to me in a private match with friends. We made it to round 23 and ended up having two of us get downed and lost because of this glitch. Total during that game it happened to me and my team six times.

My Explaination:

Considering that this annoying glitch never existed before the 11.18.2010 Patch, it can be concluded that it is a result of the patch.

One of the details of this latest Patch was that it patched the glitch where you get inside a team mate and the zombies cannot hurt you because of this.

Treyarch fixed this by instantly downing both players as soon as they got inside each other. My theory is that when you teleport (say into the defcon room, where it happened 4 of the 6 times to us) it places both you and your friend inside each other and activates the most recently downloaded patch which kills both player for being inside eachother.

Anybody else find similar happenings? I saw other posts that simply explained what was happening to them but not why it happened?

Yeah, it only happens when you teleport at the exact same time as someone else...so be careful to let each other know when you are teleporting...IT SUCKS.

our team mates couldn't get us both up on time as they couldn't figure out how to get down to the bottom floor in time even though we only had a crawler...

Dude, the patch is "active" as soon as you installed the update. While you are mostly correct in your theory, I must let you know there is already a thread about this. Most of your questions are answered there.
