The parade/motorcade footage (combined with numbers broadcast scene) implies that Mason may have killed JFK or at least had some level of involvement in it. General Dragovich's last words to Mason in the soviet sub supply base also adds to this theory. Another scene that also makes me think that Mason killed JFK is in the beginning when he meets JFK and imagines holding a gun in his hand...

If you ask me, i think this is how Mason would tie into JFKs assassination (in the game); Oswald shot JFK from the depository and Mason shot him from nearby (grassy knoll). The alternative (we'll have to wait till bops2) could also be that Mason snaps out from his brainwashed sleeper agent status in time to stop only one of the shooters. The latter sounds more reasonable since i cant see any major studio letting the player participate in the assassination of a US president.

Personally i dont like that treyarch tied Mason to JFK's assassination. In my opinion i think it is downright tasteless and offensive.

I defeated!
Im thinking Lee Harvey Oswald could have been a sleeper agent. That way Dragovitch successfully made someone kill JFK. Meaning the "tried?" would make sense.

Just my theory.

Oswald was a sleeper agent and was compromised (his pictures keep appearing on the screens while you're being interrogated).

You don't recover from the brainwashing in Vorkuta (as said in the Intel) and it's heavily implied you do indeed assassinate JFK. Listen to what Mason whispers during the final clip parade footage - they're all references to the assassination.
