Build Engineer
Summary
A Build Engineer fulfills an essential role in the development process. They will maintain, design and implement our process for building, testing and deploying our game builds.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain code and data stability for entire development team at all times.
· Implement and enforce testing and deployment procedures.
· Management and maintenance of version control repository.
· Automated build management.
· Automated pre-verification of code and content submissions.
· Enterprise-wide deployments of code and data.
· Build archival and retrieval.
· Live configuration file management and archival.
· Managing post-ship patches and downloadable content.
Requirements
· Extensive experience with Perforce and other version control packages.
· Extensive experience of file management, especially backup, archival and recovery.
· Experience with integrating and merging code.
· Experience with Visual Studio essential, ProDG debugger would be a bonus.
· Understanding of C & C++ syntax - capable of fixing code compilation and link problems.
· Experience with PERL and other scripting languages.
· Passionate about games.

Notice I bolded requirements of experience with Visual Studio essential and ProDG debugger. Both of these are essential tools in the development of ps3 games leading me to believe that their previous ps3 build engineer was fired. What do you guys think?
