If you get 15th prestige, emblems & camos will carry over to online. I'm not sure if its been patched yet.

I did it on 360 too. 50K per kill. Took me 5-8 minutes a piece to go through each prestige.

It's mainly fun because you are not supposed to be able to Prestige in CT. Plus, with the Emblem trick, you can get titles with CT points instead of Player Match points, an use what you by in Player Match. Making it easier to have a cool emblem and background.
