1.) Set up PS3 proxy server on your PS3 and computer

2.) Download any gamemode to your file share in Black Ops

3.) With the proxy server program on your computer, maybe the custom game mode will show up and maybe it will allow you to download it to your computer like other things!




If it does allow you to download it, then it is just a matter of figuring out how to edit it and transfer it back to our systems! If this works, then only ONE PERSON needs to have it in their file share, and then they can share it with everybody.

By hacked gamemode, I DO NOT mean super speed, all gold guns, super small crosshairs, etc.

Also if this works, then we can become more familiar with how the coding for the gamemodes works. Maybe we could make new gamemodes? Maybe we could make super jump lobby's. Who knows? Lets give it a try.

Do you even know what a proxy server actually does? Using that in this situation will do nothing.

Also, even if you had the correct programs, the way you would need to do this is PS3 <- Laptop <- Modem/Router(With connections bridged obviously). Not to mention that I seriously doubt that the data for the said file share game mode will be sent separate, and or recognisable compared to other data. And all that, before realising we have no idea how to hack the game mode itself, and get it back onto the game console.

Just letting you also know, people have modded custom game types on xbox using a JTAG, I have one with 50k XP per kill(Impossible to do in game settings) I use for Combat Training.

That wouldn't work, people tried that for MW2 to get patches on the PS3 and it wouldn't take them.

Dude I said it was just an idea. Chill. And I am well aware of using proxy servers because I used it to download a trailer from the Playstation Store directly to my laptop.

well if only 1 person had it, 3arc would ban that user and ban everyone else with that game in their file share
