With this, they could also allow the community to create custom maps on their PC with mod tools and these maps could be played on as well as the game maps in non-ranked games (and private matches).

Think of how sick this would be! There would be another option called "Non-Ranked Matchmaking" and it would put you into a game or custom game. Or they could also have COD4's PC and Rainbow Six Vegas 2's style of match finding where it shows a list of games that you can choose to join (with hosts or without hosts). If the game is using a custom map, you would have to download and install the map in the load screen if you don't already have the map (like in COD4 for PC).


Think of how sick this would be! And it wouldn't mean they need more servers because the SAME amount of people are still going to be playing overall. And it would be an amazing way to practice using a gun since none of the stats or XP would go on your gameplay statistics. Non-ranked matchmaking would allow normal games and games with custom maps & settings. If they were to have it so somebody can host there own game (like RSV), then the host can change the settings and the map without the game changing it for them.

There is no reason not to want this, because if you don't like it then you have the option of playing normally. This would prevent the most recent Call of Duty from getting boring. With custom maps how can it get boring? And also, the most popular maps can be "refurbished" and maybe added to the Ranked playlists! Seriously, they should consider this.

Another reason to add this is because when people want to play a snipers only game or Michael Myers etc, they can simply just find a non-ranked game in the list that says "Snipers Only" in the title.

But I am going to on Christmas when I get my Xbox. I got the idea from Rainbow Six Vegas and the PC version of COD4 when I wanted to play on custom maps.

but this is different from halo reach because in this, you could play with other people like you dont know, so its not just like a private match

i like the idea. it would also be great if it would allow to vote favorite custom maps and have lets say the best 4-5 maps released as ranked matchmaking maps in the future. this would def keep people from quitting the game because of the old "I'm tired of the same old maps" excuse.

Don't you think the servers are fooked up enough as it is? Great idea, but they need to sort out the current issues before they even think about adding more features.

Great idea, i doubt it would ever happen in BO, but definately an idea you should put forward for the next cod. More maps would always keep me playing :y:

Well I mean the next game of course lol. And it's only Treyarch who has the horrible servers, especially for ps3.
