I screwed the title great^^.
This method is called port forwarding:
So for some people like myself DMZ mode still does not fix the NAT type on my ps3 for any cod but port forwarding is just as easy or even easyer then DMZ.
So basically DMZ mode is opening all ports to everthing (i think)
Port forwarding is just opeing the ports for a certain game or apps ect..
P.S This is a ps3 guild im not sure if it works on xbox/pc
Now for a guild xbox will be the same just chaging the ports.
Step 1:
First you will have to get your ip adress and eneter it in ur browser.
East way to find Ip adress you open start menu and search for command prompt>open>then type ipconfig you will then see ur ip adress useally will say IPv4 adress..... (ip is here)
Step2:
Type you ip in your browser
Step3:
You will need a username and password for you to get in to get ur username and it should be on your router.
If this is not the case search for your router here (
You must login or register to view this content.)
Step4:
Now this step is going to be different for everone depending on your router it will be different.
Now to port forward you will have to find it, on mine it's called QoS setup. It also could be in apps&gaming/ports ect.
Step5:
In this step you will be adding the new ports (step 1 of 2).
To add a new port there will be a button that says add/add priority rule ect. You might even just be able to add on the same page.
Step6:
Now for adding the numbers (step 2 of 2).
you will have to set it to prioity to highest for the best connection make sure it's in gaming and Both/(TCP/UPD) is secected you will have to make 3 ports.
1. 3074-3074
2. 3478-4380
3. 27000-27050
Step 6:
You are pretty much done make sure you save the settings and everthing should go though no need to turn router on or off should work if not reset your router.
This will also work for MW2 (well it worked for me) and this guild will also work for any other online game just search (*game name here* ports).
If there is any problems or questions just ask me. I hope it helped.
