On the 22nd December Treyarch Released Black Ops Patch 1.05 which hasn't has the desired effect on the players which they were hoping for. The patch was meant to address the many problems that the ps3 users are experiencing such as game freezes, crashes and a number of issues with connecting to games and hosts. Patch 1.05 was designed to fix these problems showing Treyarch does listen to the community, but all is not well.
A number of ps3 owners are still experiencing these issues and I (@ndy) Experience alot of issues with being disconnected mid-game and a general laggy experience. Here are some posts from the Official Black Ops Forums.
"so hacked off with the game im going to list the problems and hope someone from treyarch will actually listen to the problems. Going to try and put them in order of the patches newest first. Please don’t go on that my internet is no good cause its fine with all other games.
*when I scope to snipe I have no cross hairs my whole screen zooms in
*on more than one occasion my red dot sight has been on fire and can’t see a thing when aiming
*falling out of the map through the ground
*when choosing a class can’t select certain guns I select it then I just watch other people
*constant freezing at all different points in the game
*killstreaks not working eg getting 7 kills and not getting my helicopter
*no sound in my game except gun fire so you cant hear when an enemys plane or helicopter or whatever is coming or when your claymore gets blown up
*constant chucking from games
*constant connection interuptions
*from day one of this game coming out never been able to play with friends hosting or invited
*spawning next to people headquarters is a nightmare for it
*mics not working properly
*stuck on strict nat type
* voting doesnt seem to work for the next map the highest voted map doesnt load"
"just updated there now and now and had to reset my playstation twice because it froze and now my rank is reset wtf? i thought it would fix itself but i tried a game and it let me rank up so it doesn’t look like its going to change back !!!"
As you can see the community isn't happy at all with the online experience and I assume there will be another patch to fix these issues and try and improve the experience for the ps3 community. I myself see this as a big issue, how can one platform experience be so poor compared to another? Many thanks for reading this post please comment below.
