No it's not at all what I'm saying. People were complaining there was no way to see a claymore around a corner without hacker and Treyarch said look for the red laser lines, which appear to be almost invisible. It also seems like it doesn't take as long for it to blow up but maybe that's just me. In MW2 there was a nice click that you could always hear and indicate that you tripped a claymore and maybe you could react and try to dodge the explosion somehow, in Black Ops there is a faint beep tat you may hear.
I personally do not even believe in the term overpowered in Black Ops.
