(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, just a question. I usually play on a Standard Definition TV, and Black Ops plays perfectly, but when I switch over to my 40 something inch High definition rear projection widescreen TV by Hitatchi, there is noticeable lag between the controller and the screen. Anybody else have this? And it's not just when it goes through HDMI either, it does this with regular RGB cords. It's playable, but I'm noticeably worse, which is why I don't like playing on my big screen, which sounds weird, but it's true.

It's probably due to the fact that HD tv's put image quality above image processing/scaling. This will cause fraction of a second of lag... over and over, which can and most likely will be quit noticeable on some tv's when you are playing time sensitive games such as FPS. If your tv has a "Game" mode, switch to that and it should help. The native display on HD tv's is a much higher resolution than on the older CRT tv's, and it may be scaling the image. Play around with your tv's display settings.

No problem, hope it helps or at least leads you in the right direction. Maybe hit up Google and do a search for tweaking your specific make/model tv for gaming to reduce image processing/scaling lag. I'm sure something will turn up Smile

The exact same thing happens to me also. I thought it was normal on my TV since it's what I was used to. But then I was playing on my cousins non HD TV and it was so responsive I couldn't believe it. I don't know any settings that would help, considering my TV is 240Hz. But let me know if you find anything out!

its the mere fact of it being rear projection, should be a game mode in the settings but you will always get some lag.
