Around a half hour ago, when he logged off xbox live, as soon as he logged off, it was showing him as rank 1, no prestige. I'm not sure if my friends list was glitching, or maybe he did another glitch that maybe resulted in the rank reset. I'll have more info later when he comes back online.

So, my question is, Is that actually possible to be reset for that? I couldn't care less if I get reset, even though I'm 6th prestige, I'm just wondering if it's possible.

alright, looks like my friends list may have just glitched out. It's showing him at the proper rank now, even though he hasn't logged back online.
