If this did happen, I guarentee THOUSANDS of people who haven't boosted or anything would get reset. I guarentee that this would make a huge amount of anger towards Treyarch and the only way to stop it would be to remove the report system and give them their ranks back. :carling:

We have had massive things like this done. With just a few chain messages, we could actually have this moving. Remember the [MW2] clan tag protest. We could get something similar to this and maybe make it so no one gets reset again.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm reporting everyone I play with.

Report system works by the following rule user reported then looked at. If you mass report your ID is seen as a reporter and looked at. False reporting i guess you can have action taken against you.
You know like most reporting systems.......or flag systems

i have 4 accounts 14th prestige level 50 with 4 days played and every single class has a gold gun. i've never been reset.

i've been reporting every single player in every single match for 2 months now. i also direct everybody in my party to do the same.

old news. report system failed already.

I don't think my comment was to that extreme. I guarentee I play video games just as much as you. I just cant take the comments about when people tell me to play the game more if I want to unlock stuff. Jesus Christ, are you aware that if you have spent 10+ days playing Black Ops since it came out (I highly doubt you have played for 10+ days, but people have) you can do some simple math add about 3 days in lobbies/parties and the game has been out for about 60 days, plus adding in how you have to sleep, that is about 1/3 of your time spent playing Black Ops. I do have a problem with that because that is not just playing the game, in order to beat the game, you have to DEDICATE yourself to it. I don't like that.

Why would you want to ruin the report system? It is there to prevent hackers and catch them if people do hack.

Would you really want to play a game where everybody has God mode and aim bots? Seriously, do you know how boring that would be? Also, gold camo wasn't supposed to be unlocked right away. It was put into the game for 14th prestiges to give an incentive to prestige and as a reward for playing the game so long. It was meant for people to unlock 9 to 10 months down the road. Not 2 months after the game is out.

Also, you level much quicker in this game than previous CoD titles. It took me about 15 days for both MW1 and MW2 (I never played WaW). However, at the current rate I should finish BO in 12 days.

They did the 2nd week u hit report and it wouldn't say send bcuz so many people were rreporting

MW2 didn't have any report system, and the most sever hacks there were on PS3 was everyone had illigitimate prestiges. Unlocking golden guns at 14th prestige is an incentive for me, and lots of other people, just to give up on Black Ops and have a life.

i dunt get it. Why do you look for an easy way out to everything? Sure black ops is a video game but Ill use it as an example. Getting gold camo is a reward for people who earn 15th prestige and people who cheat to get it because they suck at the game(people who are good obviously don't complain because they are good at it and hence are able to dedicate time to the game and get its achievements). Its funny how you say people should hack on black ops and have a life. So lemme ask you something. What about when people have to give up their "life" and all the good things when they spend 12+ hours earning a degree and working and etc to succeed. Maybe they should cheat and find ways around to get what they want because they want to "have a life." IDC if BO is a stupid example to use, its still an example. If you have to find ways to get around with a video game BECAUSE you want to have a life and etc.. then I fell sorry for you when it comes time to do a real task/job/education because then you will want to have a life again and things will happen. Sure there are plenty of reasons to hack and I'm just stating my counter against one of them and not to you personally(iloveyou2 ) I'm just saying that finding the easy way isn't always gonna work and if you build up a habit of finding the easy way then one day it will come back and bite you.

Maybe he's one of the ones who DIDN'T ask for Report system??? I know I didn't. I actually think all those people asking for ways to snitch and nerf guns should feel like homos. Basically trying to find any excuse to why they died, so they ask a videogame maker to "fix" the problem. As long as MW2 style Noobtubing is gone, I'm cool. I wouldn't even think to ask for a report button. It's like if you're buddy is kicking your ass all the time with the Lakers so you ask 2K Sports to nerf the Lakers instead of accepting the challenge.

With that said, I agree this thread and the idea behind it won't work at all. Besides if Treyarch is smart they would've been prepared for those who report people just to be doing so.

I'm not going to say whether I'm for or against cheats like Gold Guns but let me address a few of your points.

1.) How is playing and prestiging legit all the way to 15th make you a "better" player than someone who was say 2nd and glitched to get the guns??? Being good at something doesn't always have a correlation to having time to do it. You could be good at knitting, but lack the time to do it constantly. Prestiging just means you played the game more than other people. You can Prestige with a .25 K/D so doesn't really prove how "good" you are at all. It could prove how experienced you are but that's about it.

2.) Someone who cheats to gain something early on a videogame COULD mean they would cheat in real life...Difference is, IN REAL LIFE THERE ARE NO GLITCHES TO GET A DEGREE EARLY. Because even if you somehow got a "glitched" degree, when you go to your profession they'll know you don't have the sufficient education...Example being you get a fake Spanish degree and go to Spain to teach, once you get there you'll fail so this is really a bad argument.

3.) Technically speaking, wouldn't cheating to get gold guns early inherently give someone MORE time to focus on real life things, and more time to focus on their education??? Couldn't cheating on a videogame and not spending a month worth of playing time give them MORE time to handle things in their real life better???

4.) Videogames allow you to glitch and with little to no consequence cuz it's not real life. Meaning you can't compare it to real life. In real life I may want to buy a new 50 inch HDTV. The "cheat" way would be to steal money or use fake money...However the consequences are MUCH MUCH more severe in real life for cheating than it would be for getting gold guns early IN A VIDEOGAME. In the videogame they take the Gold Guns away or worst case ban you a couple days.

So in conclusion I understand you're trying to say people should earn these things. But trying to compare it to real life isn't logical. I mean if there was an "easy way" to bang every girl you like, I'm sure we'd try it a few times. But thats a moot point because there is not magical glitch to do this.
