Do you need to commando dive off or can you just jump?

You need to dive only, jumping will still take damage. But dont run from the other end of the place, do it from a shorter distance so you dont over-dive the landing zone

will save me time running all the way to the other side of the map now when im sniping lol

there is an easier way -- just jump & crouch onto the little rock below. It has its own barrier, but if you hit the side of it, you land taking no damage.
