It sounds like a console ban as many people are getting banned. I have not updated my ps3 or checked my account yet.

ya i was playing s&d on black ops and was going to play another gametype, then a message popped up saying that your console has been perma banned from cod black ops servers. so i guess im ****ed.

I think it's permanent console ban, which is ridiculous, but I've never liked Treyarch Call of Duty games anyway, so I'm fine with that.
