In today’s dose of dumbassery, Sony’s fictional VP Kevin Butler, who has been known to make the funny once in a while, received a tweet from a Travis La Marr, aka “@exiva,” containing the PlayStation 3 METLDR root key and challenged the fugazi VP by adding “Come at me.”

Butlers response? The spokesperson confused it for a “Battleship” reference and re-tweeted the entire code for the world to see. Soon after the incident, someone let him in on the (not too funny) joke and the tweets have been removed. All we can say is, “What an ass!”

Considering that is a spoof Twitter account, and the key is fake. Fail & Fail.

Why is this in exploits and hacks lol? Nonetheless, if it was real Kevin Butler is a retard. Smile

lol it's true and I find it funny that Sony doesn't even know their own root key.

That Twitter is a spoof... I follow him for shits and giggles, and if you check his timeline, you can obviously tell he is not Kevin Buttler. As for the key, I know it is fake because I have the real one saved from Geohot, before he was forced to take it down.

I'm pretty sure Kevin Butler is smarter than that and it was just a trick or a joke.
