I normally run 5-7-9 with Care Package, Attack Heli, Chopper or

8-9-11 with Blackbird, Chopper Gunner and Dogs.

Recently I've switched to 5-8-9 with Care Package, Rolling Thunder, Chopper Gunner.

So I need some tips since I seem to be a Rolling Thunder noob haha. I know in Dom best idea is to put on B flag or if your team has 2 flags, the flag you aren't occupying but I seem to get only like 2 kills and sometimes I'll admit I kill myself with it like a noob

I did get a 7 in 1 Rolling Thunder on Cracked the other day but I killed myself too. So I usually don't use the Rolling Thunder until after I find out if I get my Chopper Gunner or not to avoid killing myself.

The Attack Heli on a good day gets me 5 kills max, and I'd like to try out Rolling Thunder a little. Especially since Mortar Team is a piece of crap. Although I will say the Sentry Gun can rape on Black Ops unlike in MW2

So what's some good spots, or tips to doing well with the Rolling Thunder?

The best tip I can give, is don't use it...
I respect the fact you are trying something different instead of the usual crap but the Blackbird far outweighs the rolling thunder with kills.

Well I understand that and if you look I even said I use the Blackbird a lot too already. I'm thinking after tomorrow I'll switch back to my other setups or maybe give another go at the Sentry Gun.

The rolling thunder can go through certain buildings, so use that to your tactics

when i use the rolling thunder i always seen to survive it . im not sure but just crouch in a corner . tight

Personally I think napalm is better than rolling thunder. Napalm can go through buildings, sometimes even if it looks like its not going to hit you it still can, and it stays a little while after so its easy to pick up a kill or two after the initial strike from idiots running into the fire. Also you get it after just 5 kills. Its super easy to get, it gets tons of kills, and after the plane flies away the fire stays for a few seconds. You can also use it tactically to block off a route and cover your team.

Tip:

Use Blackbird.

best K.S. setup for any situation is Napalm, rolling thunder and dogs. Why? Using blackbird almost always benefits your teammate than you. If you are going purely and I mean purely for kills, then use that setup. I love rolling thunder. I can almost always get a multikill with it. Wait for an UAV or blackbird and then position the rolling thunder so the carpet bomb will start at the edge of the map and potentially finish at the beginning of their next spawn. If you have good map knowledge, you know what I mean. However, rolling thunder as a 8 K.S. is stupid because i personally believe it should've been 7. It's not worthy of 8 as Blackbird is a much better k.s. for any game mode and rolling thunder doesn't always get the job done which the blackbird does.

Thanks guys, I'll try that out. Also I have been playing with a group of about 3-4 guys I met in lobbies that are pretty good. And 2 of those guys already run Blackbird. So I figured why not try something different since we already have 2 Blackbird users and probably 4 Spy Plane users.
