In my experience this is the best all around camping outfit and strategy.

Perk 1 = flak jacket to start with then sometimes change to ghost if they get a lot of spyplanes and black birds up

Perk 2 = sleight of hand; warlord isn't a bad option either especially if you use with a submachine gun

Perk 3 = 2nd chance; don't waiste this slot on ninja or marathon because you won't be moving around that much

primary weapon Aug w/ silencer

secondary CZ75 w/ silencer

frag grenades; decoy grenades and motion sensor

killstreaks spy plane; sentry gun, attack helicopter

1- know the map

2- select an area to work ambushes from. Preferably 2 rooms or 1 large room in size in a second story building or elevated position. Area should overwatch an objective or a high traffic area.

3- use windows and doors (stand/crouch to the side) and snipe 1 or 2 targets then move to another opening. Don't think you have to kill everyone you shoot at. IF you can't get the shot back off throw a grenade

Would anyone actually want to see a tactical guide to camping? I mean, I just laughed when I saw this, not just at the fact that it's a guide to camping but also the content within the guide itself. It's barely one page long for a start. There is only one suggested weapon layout and one killstreak layout, basically his way of camping. This is where I got to thinking....

What actually motivates someone to "camp" when playing call of duty?

In my head, I boiled it down to a few reasons:

1: Your not very good.
Everywhere you go you seem to die, so staying in a corner looks like a good option.

[ In fact, the more practice you get, the more skill you gain. You wont make much progress by not pushing your own limits ]

2: You and your team are trapped in your spawn area.
You dont want to go out in the open and get killed.

[ In fact, unless you are not fighting back, all you have to really do is get a few kills and push forward a little each time. Using ghost won't stop you being found if you commit yourself to an area and flack jacket only protects against explosions, players have guns too ]

3: You want killstreak rewards or a high K/D ratio.
But your not willing to go far to get them.

[ In fact, you are more likely to have less killstreak rewards by camping unless you are skilled, if so, you don't need to be camping ]

Now this applies to many people I know,

4: You got skill but camping is easier.
This way you just let your enemy keep coming back to find you so you get an easy and fast killstreak reward.

[ In fact, unless you have the whole team coming at you, bigger and better rewards can be achieved by being active in more than one area ]

To a certain extent the term "camping" is often misinterpreted and used as an excuse or even as an insult. In which case, what is or where is the clear definition of the term, in relation to call of duty? But beside that, if all 12 players in the game are running around grenade spamming, doing 360's and what not, you would probably complain about that too.

Imo, the game is generally quite balanced between rushers and campers. I like those un-skilled ones, it's easy picking, if he's skilled then prove your worth and flush him out. It's a game after all, but the basic tactics used by campers stems from real life. What? you think the army doesn't camp? that's where the term is from and I can't stress this next fact enough, camping is kind of part of the game wether you frown upon it or not. You may think its cheap or lame but the game is about war, war has never been about having a fair fight has it?

But what do you think? Is it sad? does it help you out? does it even bother you?

I think most are a little guilty of a bit of camping.........

i rush alot in all games. only time I hide in a building is when I don't have ghost pro on and there a chopper or gun ship in the air. I usually have a strella equip so at the right moment I will go outside to shot it down. Campers usually stay in the same area the whole map. they usually stay in corners or lay to prone. Can't stand campers but have no choice but to deal with em.

I dont mind campers that much they are just playing the way they want. They make for easy kills and specialy if they keep coming back to the same spot.
Really dont see why so many people hate campers.
I personaly HATE rushing with guns a blazing bullets flying here there and fuking everywhere plainly because I alwasy die after 2-3 kills lol.
I kinda camp I like to sit somewhere get a few kills then move on to a diferent location get a few more kills and then move on again which works good for me.

Camping is strategy depending.. If it's some noob sitting in the same little whole the whole match waiting for people coming by then it's bad but if I'm taking cover to reload and notice the guy is moving toward my location, I'll find a spot to ambush him. I think it depends on the game also.

COD's for example: camping should be used lightly and occasional ambush, now bigger games like BFBC2 Camping/ambushing can lead to victory, for example if someone is playing the recon class right, they might wait in a hole to spot for their team, occasional kill-shot but to also get some c4 on a tank and then take off.

In Flames Much?
There are two types of play style
Attacking , defence

Attacking is when you know a guy close you rush him.
Defence when you put cover between you and gun fights
Sadly COD connection based and the harder you are to hit more likely your going to win.

People who play defence all the time and do nothing but camp corners , not being smart about it are the ones i hate. The ones who are not waiting on guys but just there.
Just keeping still in hope people are going to rush past them.

Am ok with dieing to a guy who setup behind cover and always moving from cover to cover.
That smart play

As long your helping the team by holding down a area or keeping control of flags that good.
What i think bad is when players who just camp corners not even close to the objective not moving to help. etc

There is! But in BC2 campers aren't so annoying because of big maps. All maps are like twice big as biggest map in Black Ops and some are even bigger
