Figures from NPD Group have confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops has become the best-selling game in history in the US.
Speaking to IndustryGamers, NPD analyst Anita Frazier revealed that the Activision title outsold Wii Play to claim the top spot.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops was the best-selling game in February, retaining the top selling spot since launch in November," she said. "It has now become the best-selling game in history, topping Wii Play."
According to the report, Black Ops has sold 13.7 million units in the US alone. It has shifted approximately 3.9 million units each month since its launch in November 2010.
It may be the best-selling game but is it also the most hated game ever? It just shows you why Treyarch couldn't give a **** about the money the will lose off those who are banned. It's good to seem them keeping their game clean, with constant updates and bans. Yes, I am banned, so don't hate me. :y:
But it also raises a question to me. How many people do you think are legally playing the game? (Over 1 :y:
In my opinion, games shouldn't even have an age limit, it just gets totally disregarded and parents don't really give a ****.
Any game by CoD, will get more and more sell's each game. Why? Once a CoD Player always a CoD player. This may not be true, but there are always new people getting sucked into the game.
