I'm pretty sure you can't get banned for a rapid fire controller. What effect, other than shooting really fast with a single fire weapon, does it even have? Surely you can't change the actual fire rate of a weapon, so there's nothing wrong with that.

i remember for XBOX on World at War.. there was something about not being able to use rapid fire.. basically if you go past a certain shot per second it will govern how fast you can shoot.. this was to try and stop people from using that modded RT button (stick mod)..

not sure about a ban.. I highly doubt it..

You will NOT get banned, my friend has been using them since W@W. He tells me the problem with BLACK OPS is some of the guns shoot faster then the ALLOWED UNDETECTABLE speed on the Rapid FIRE and if you turn it up to high either the gun won't shoot at all or it will shoot when it wants to and jam on you. But it works well with the FN FAL as he kills me with that gun all the time, I use it and it works well for me w/out the need of a rapid fire.

BTW..almost forgot the guy they hired to be the community manager for the next COD DR. DISRESPECT look at his videos on Machinima or YOUTUBE and you can clearly see he uses a rapid fire controller and only uses the FN FAL.
