i've played 5 games on it and i've already ran into people not quite sure how to play or adapt to this style. If you already know what you are doing then these tips arent for you and should click away now :p
i know most people know these things already, but this is to help those that don't.
First Hardline, Flak, Scavenger and Ghost are pointless. I'm not sure if ghost and flak are allowed with this list but i know scavenger and hardline are. Theres no killstreaks so why do you need hardline? You aren't gonna be staying alive for a lot of kills so you don't need scavenger.
Sleight of Hand and Steady aim should be the only second perks you use. Others dont work and just leave you at a disadvantage.
Ninja and Marathon are the only 2 perks worth using in the third slot. I don't know why but i keep seeing people with Hacker. Theres no equipment in this playlist so you won't be seeing anything with your hacker.
Yes you can use any gun but you are putting yourself at a disadvantage if you don't use a ak74u or famas.
My personal class setups are :
Lightweight Pro
Sleight of Hand Pro
Ninja Pro
Famas w/ Red Dot
Python
Lightweight Pro
Steady Aim Pro
Marathon Pro
Ak74u w/ Extended Mag
Python
Random Tips:
Don't be afraid to toss your concussion grenades around corners and towards where you are planning to run.
It's very important that you learn the spawn points of maps. especially in CTF, you need to know where they spawn when you are on their flag so you don't run that way.
I strongly suggest using tactical button layout. If you never have, spend 10-20 minutes in combat training getting use to it. Tactical will help you out a lot because if you will notice the amount of dropshotting will be x10 compared to any other playlist.
I have played this playlist both on Xbox and PS3 and love your first setup. I love the people who run your second setup as I am a sound whore and hear those running any other perk than Ninja a mile away. Its so easy to work around those people running anything other than Ninja and shoot them in the back every time. On another note beware if going to play this playlist solo as friendly fire is enabled and if you get thrown into a game make sure to spectate first as I have noticed a lot more kids playing who think it is cute to team kill. Just a heads up.
