So I played through campaign with my friend this one day, and we started to notice on the launch level "Executive Order", there was burning scientists after you destroy the rocket ship. I examined them and they perhaps had a zombie-like appearance. Then later on, in "Project Nova", where you play as Victor Reznov, your Russian comrades burn down buildings to kill the Germans inside. Again, the burnt dead corpses resembled like zombies. Afterwards, I played "Payback" only to discover that I got to burn enemies down with a flamethrower attachment. That's where it hit me. The DLC zombie maps could have been based off of these levels.

Executive Order - Ascension
Project Nova - Call of the Dead
Payback - Shangri-La

But the fourth map pack is yet to come, and those are the only maps I've noticed burning corpses. So I played around again to reach "The Defector". The level where you get Dragon's Breath rounds in your SPAS-12. Obviously, you had to burn a few enemies down with them, right? So if my theory is correct,

The Defector - Quarantine(?)

Again, just map based, and not exactly located where the campaign took place. Please leave comments and further theories to this idea.

Nice idea but theres not much holding it together really. Payback is only a tiny bit like shangri la (both in a jungle)
The others work out. But the defector mission doesnt work for me and doesnt sound as if zombies would be based on that for me

I think that Shangri-La is based on "Crash Site" because when you go up the river at some point you see a waterfall and what's on Shangri-La a waterfall, just my idea, and most maps that have become zombies have a graffiti logo of the Grim Reaper on them, so a multiplayer map that has that on is convoy, just thought I would add that fact, even though I know you are on about campaign maps.

But if I'm not mistaken, you do play Payback underground at the beginning. I haven't looked in on the Grim Reaper theories yet, so I could be wrong.

Yes you play payback underground at beginning and end, but on crash site there is a part where there are old Japanese or what ever ruins so this kind of adds up to the theories, I don't 100% know what map might just be made up, because Kino isn't made from a campaign map, that is based on Berlin Wall Multiplayer map.

Actually, I heard Kino was supposed to be W@W's fourth zombie DLC map, but cancelled because it was too close to the release of MW2.

But I'm talking about the DLC maps, and not the ones that came with the game.

That is true but when your in the ally look in the sky towards the radio on the tower and you see a massive spear building, and do same on Berlin Wall looking on the side where the turrets are you see the same building, so Kino is on Berlin Wall map.

Was only saying as well

I dont think this other zombie map "Quarantine" even exists. I doubt that they would release another map pack for black ops. If they do that would be pretty bad ass.but seeing as there was only 4 maps (in all) in w@w and there are already6 out for black ops... I highly doubt they will release a new zombie map until the next CoD game after MW3.

They pretty much are based upon Campaign maps, which is why I don't think any maps are going to be based upon Firing Range. Also you are able to find the Grim Reaper on every map where the Zombie maps are based (if you look hard enough).

Nice find. A lot of zombie maps resemble multiplayer and singleplayer maps.
