Try using your lag switch without your router hooked up...by this I mean just hook you playstation up straight to the wall remove your router from the situation. This worked for me. When I tried through my router it instantly disconnected me also but I found that way around it. Let me know if this helps.

disconnect the power of your router, turn on your ps3 and reconnect the power of the router and the lagswitch should work... works every time for me
