Maybe you have a bad connection. Try putting your PS3 into DMZ mode or restarting your router.

umm try to use a proxy and see if it works, if not delete game data then redownload it

try power cycling your router and modem. You can also do a connection test through your PS3 and it'll give you download and upload speeds.
