They do correspond to a real U.S. Military Rank medal, but I wasn't able to find a list of which prestige emblems correspond to which rank.

Oh, i was wondering cuz i am thinking about going to prestige 9 but i wanted to know if there were any special meanings to each prestige symbol.

Back in CoD4 the symbols were based off of real medals, 10th prestige in MW2 will not be a medal though.

10th prestige seems to b based on the Nazi death symbol, not saying it is, but everytime i see it i think of that
